NUI Galway Dramsoc
'Zugzwang' is an original play written and directed by Patrick Fogarty.
'A' and 'Z' are trapped. Everything that they know of themselves and the outside world comes from a single library bookshelf with a varied range of books. They cannot distinguish between fiction and non-fiction blurring the two together, creating a warped view of the outside world. Performed in February 2020 and one of Dramsoc's entries for the ISDA (Student Drama Awards which were hosted by NUI Galway Virtually as part of the Virtual Summer Festival in August 2020. The production won best set at the ISDA Awards.
