Welcome Back Programme!
NUI Galway is excited to welcome all our students to campus, both our returning & new students. The Welcome Back Programme runs for the month of September and has a range of events to suit everyone, designed to make sure you are well and truly welcomed back to campus. #WelcomeBack #FailteArais
The Welcome Back Festival kicks off on Saturday 4th 11am - 5pm
for returning second year students, new postgrads & International students. The Festival continues from
Monday 6th - Thursday 9th 12pm - 4pm for everyone!
How to get involved
To sign up for Saturday September 4th log into YourSpace, if you are already registered as a student, If you are waiting to register use this form, Everyone who signs up for Saturday will be in a draw for some great prizes!
Note you do not sign up for the outdoor events from Monday - Thursday (except for the guided campus tours)

Campus Tours
The guided campus tours start on Wed 1st September at 11am, 1pm & 3pm, signup for your tour in yourspace,
meet up just over the bridge outside Áras na Mac Léinn at the small gazebo.

Come by and say hi at our Welcome Back Party! From 11 a.m. til 5 p.m., there will be live music, activities, treats and a chance to ask questions at the stalls outside Áras Na Mac Léinn.
An opportunity to make some friends & have your questions answered all outdoors while hearing some tunes.
We'll be waiting to meet you in the gazebos outside Áras na Mac Léinn!

Jump into a campus-wide treasure hunt for a chance to discover
NUI Galway and meet some Societies & Clubs! (and win some prizes too!)
In teams of 4, you'll complete tasks and activities all across campus.
Teams depart from outside Aras Na Mac Léinn every hour from 11 a.m. til 4 p.m. Bring some friends and work together, or come alone and we'll find you a team!

The Students Union will be giving out their 'Rudaí Álainn' gift packs in the Aula Maxima
from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.!
Drop by, say hello and pick up your free goodies!
Don't worry of you can't make it on the day as they will be giving out the gifts from the Aula until Oct 1st.

Tours of our beautiful NUI Galway campus will be available at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Meet up at the small gazebo outside the entrance to the Martin Ryan Institute of Marine Science – close to the O’Shaughnessy bridge and Áras na Mac Léinn. Look out for the tour guides in the high-visibility vests!

The new Student Enquiry Centre will be open on the Concourse in the Arts Science Building to help you with any queries or concerns you might have! Drop by and meet the team.

NUIG Future Memories
Join DramSoc outside Áras Na Mac Léinn for a brand new interactive theatre experience, `NUIG Future Memories' all you need is a phone and a sense of adventure!
Immerse yourself in DramSoc's 'Perambulator' and explore campus listening to their stories and be inspired to find your own.

Feeling Peckish? Don't worry we've got you covered!
Sult (also known as the College Bar), beside Áras na Mac Léinn will be open serving food all day (check out their fabulous riverside terrace) plus they are providing an outdoor snack stand at the Welcome Back Party.
Smokies Café on the Concourse near the new Student Enquiry Centre will
also be open.

Still lost? Don't worry the new FIND-IT project developed by the NUI Galway Societies Office will not only tell you where you are but provide information about all the buildings as you make your way around campus. Keep an eye out for the signs. Make sure to download a QR code reader on your phone and get access to lots of additional information
How do I sign up?
Be sure to sign up and let us know you will be attending and indicate a preferred time. (11am, 1pm, 3pm)
If you are already registered as a student and have your ID number sign up in yourspace.nuigalway.ie
If you have just registered it may take a day or two to be fully processed, or if you can't log into YourSpace yet don't worry we've got you covered, simply fill out this form!
Use one method only: Do not sign up in YourSpace and the form.
Welcome Back is a one-day event designed for returning 2nd year students, new postgraduate and international students arriving to NUI Galway.
Please note that there will be another separate orientation day for first-year undergraduate students later in September!
